As a resident of Fortfield Park and a parent of children who attend the local schools I wish to express my concerns about the proposed changes to our road. I refer to the proposal set out in the Transport Study for Dublin South West to remove all on-street parking on Fortfield Park Terenure and to increase the bus count from 2 to 6 per hour.
Please can you provide the Designer Risk Assessments demonstrating how your Designer has adopted the General Principles of Prevention when assessing and managing the increased health and safety risk that your proposal will expose the 3000 pupils who attend St Pius X primary school, Terenure College and Our Lady's Secondary School if they are implemented.
Fortfield Park is used as a parking area so these school children can be dropped off safely. As Fortfield Rd, Templeville Rd and Templeogue Rd are also subject to proposed restrictions under the BusConnect initiative, I would be interested in how your design accommodates the safe access and egress of these school children once on-street parking is removed from Fortfield Park.
