The National Transport Authority has prepared an updated Transport Strategy based on your feedback earlier this year. The Strategy sets out the framework for investment in transport infrastructure and services over the next two decades to 2042, including transport schemes and measures needed:

  • to tackle climate change;
  • to reduce the impact of congestion;
  • to deliver a safe and attractive cycling environment; and
  • to develop sustainable communities across Dublin City and region.

The draft Strategy is available to download below along with an Executive Summary and the supporting Statutory Documents. Additional technical reports can be accessed here.

The next stage of our process is to ask you, the public, to get involved once again and have your say on our draft Strategy. We have now opened a second round of consultation running from the 9th November 2021 until the 10th January 2022.

How to give your feedback

We are seeking your input on the draft Strategy. To make a detailed submission click on the 'Make a Submission' link where you can comment on each chapter individually.

Alternatively if you wish to just leave a quick comment or submission, you may prefer to answer a short survey on the draft Strategy.

In the interests of transparency and openness, and to provide a better consultation experience for all users and other members of the public, all submissions we receive will be published in full once they have been reviewed and processed by the strategy team. This includes the name of the author, but does not include any other identifying information.
