The proposed line runs through the dunsany natural reserve having a huge impact on one of the only rewilding efforts of Ireland. The line runs through ancient forest splitting the reserve in two and hugely impacting wildlife. You can't solve climate crisis by destroying forests, specially in a country with such a high index of deforestation.
