The National Transport Authority (“the Authority”) proposes to make regulations under the provisions of the Vehicle Clamping Act 2015 and to amend regulation 14 of the Vehicle Clamping and Signage Regulations 2017.

 

Proposed Vehicle Clamping Act 2015 (Appeals Procedure) Regulations 2024

Pursuant to section 22(2) of the Vehicle Clamping Act 2015 (No. 13 of 2015), the Authority proposes to prescribe in regulation the procedures for hearing and determining appeals in relation to section 22(1) of the same Act. 

Proposed amendment to regulation 14 of the Vehicle Clamping and Signage Regulations 2017

It is proposed to amend regulation 14 to include a specific requirement to accept ‘electronic funds transfers’ as a specified method of payment for the release of a vehicle clamp or relocated vehicle’ Additionally, it is proposed that regulation 14(c) is amended so that no additional charges are levied on the payer for any payment in relation to this regulation.
